Today we are asked to see tragic events as opportunities for reflection. They are not occasions for us to apportion blame; but are asked to renew  and strengthen the commitment of our lives to God.

Notices

Cyclone Idai – We hold in our prayers the people of southern Africa devestated by cyclone Idai and the work of relief agencies, particularly the work of Mercy Air.

Confirmation – The Deanery Confirmation Service will be held at Aston Parish Church, 4pm Sunday 23rd June with Bishop David Presiding. Please speak to Revd. Richard if you wish to be Confirmed at this service.

Lent reflections – The Church of England website https://www.churchofengland.org has may resources to help with Lent reflections including daily text or email messages. Please look at the website for further details.

All Saints Electoral Roll – Every 6 years, each CofE parish is required to create a new Electoral Roll and 2019 is such a year. If you wish to be included on the All Saints Gravelly Hill Roll you must complete a new application form this year. Forms are available from our Electoral Roll Officer Sally Ferris. Completed forms must be returned to Sally no later than Sunday 31st March 2019 in order that the new roll can be created and published in time for the Annual Meeting on 28th April.

St Mark’s Annual Meetings – take place on Sunday 7th April following a shortened service. It is planned to have the Annual Report published on 31st March. Forms are available for nominations of Churchwardens, PCC Members and Sidespersons in church. The forms are different this year as there are additional declarations that must be signed by nominees for Churchwarden and Sidesperson to comply with new Charity Commissioners regulations including DBS checks.
